In preparation for Goodwill’s spring job fair on March 10, the Augusta Warrior project will coordinate assistance for veterans at the job fair boot camp sessions on March 4.

The boot camps, set for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, at the Job Connection, 3179 Washington Road at Fury’s Ferry Road, are led by human resources professionals from businesses represented at the job fair and provide valuable preparation for job-seekers. AWP representatives will provide a breakout informational session at 11:45 a.m. for former service members attending the boot camp sessions.

All boot camp participants receive early entry to the job fair, which will be held 1-4 p.m. March 10 at the Snelling Center adjacent to the Job Connection. The boot camp and the job fair are free to job-seekers and employers with current openings.

This job fair will bring together employers and applicants while highlighting the programs available through the Job Connection. More than two dozen employers, including Allgood Pest Solutions, Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta University Health, Augusta Warrior Project, Avis/Budget Group, Bridgestone, C.A.O.T.T.I, Chick-fil-A, Columbia County Board of Education, Crothall Health Care, FPL Foods, Grifols Biomat USA, Macuch Steel Products, Medac, Merry Maids, Red Lobster, The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Rural Sourcing, Sage Valley Golf Club, Steinmart, Teleperformance, Tropical Smoothie Café, T-Mobile, Urban Outfitters, U.S. Army, Verizon, Goodwill Industries and Helms College will be on site to provide information about current job openings in the Augusta area, and Helms College admissions staff will be available to lead tours of the culinary and health sciences campus.
