Cooking class with Helms College Chef Instructors
Get the hands-on Helms College culinary student experience by learning in the labs from our chef instructors who will walk you step-by-step in creating delicious dishes. It’s fun. It’s yummy. And we know you’ll learn something new to take back to your home kitchen.
Farm to Table Tour of Helms Garden at Wrights Farm
Helms College has a farm. E-I-E-I-O… And on that farm you’ll learn how our students and community come together to learn skills that take you from a fistful of dirt to a forkful of fresh goodness.
Bike Tour through the Heart of Augusta
We’ve partnered with locally owned Bike Bike Baby to show you the town on two wheels. The Heart of Augusta Experience: Cycle the Soul City, is all about downtown Augusta. Visit museums, local businesses, historical landmarks, food, all while cycling to sultry tunes and enjoying the beautiful scenery that Augusta has to offer.
Canal to Cloth boat ride down the historic Augusta Canal
Tour the Augusta Canal by boat, then work the looms of the textile industry to understand the importance of the canal to the Industrial Revolution in Augusta. Characters and interpreters make history come alive.
Bartender For a Day at Edgar’s Above Broad
Enjoy a themed demonstration and education with hands-on cocktail making alongside our friends at All Equal Parts. Belly up to the open-air bar at Edgar’s Above Broad, where you’ll make (and sip) two craft cocktails.
Monday Night Welcome Reception and Dine Around
Join us at the reception for craft cocktails and small bites as we officially begin our conference at Edgar’s Above Broad, an applied learning venue for Helms College culinary students.
Then you’ll dine and network with other Goodwill team members in your field of expertise. Choose your primary workgroup on the registration form once you’ve purchased tickets and get ready to have some fun and fabulous food with like-minded folks.
The ticket price includes an incredible dinner and all non-alcoholic beverages. You’ll be able to purchase those at the venue on individual tabs. Your ticket covers the costs associated with hosting a large group at these restaurants — some of our favorite spots in downtown Augusta.

FAQ
For the first time ever, the Mid-Atlantic Goodwill Industries Coalition (MAGIC) and the Goodwill Southeast Association (SEA) are coming together for a combined annual conference. These two groups are comprised of 43 Goodwill organizations, spanning from Washington, D.C. to Kentucky and down to Florida. This September, we’ll gather by the Savannah River to share new ideas and transform ourselves and our organizations. This conference is WHERE NEW IDEAS FLOW.
Be part of the Goodwill movement to share innovative ideas and network with more than 350 Goodwill leaders, including C-level, vice presidents and decision-makers in the fields of finance, human resources, marketing, donated goods retail, workforce development and information technology.
For a full list of registration fees, please view the registration main page. All general sessions, breakout sessions, business meetings, breakfasts, lunches, the Welcome Reception and Culinary Celebration are included in registration. The Monday night Workgroup Dine Around Town and the Wednesday afternoon Augusta Experiences require additional fees, which will be noted during the registration process. Be sure to take advantage of the Goodwill group rate at the Marriott.

In the event you are no longer able to attend the Conference, we encourage you to substitute your registration with a colleague.
Should a cancellation be required, a full refund may be granted for requests made prior to 5 p.m. ET on August 25, 2023.
Cancellations received between August 25 and September 15 will receive a 50% refund.
No refunds will be issued for registrations cancelled or created after September 15, 2023.
Credit card refunds will be issued at the time of cancellation approval by the conference team. Bank processing may take additional time. Check refunds will be issued within 60 days of the cancellation request.
All requests for cancellations, substitutions and refunds must be made in writing and emailed to marketing@goodwillworks.org with “Cancellation Request” in the subject line. The date of the cancellation will be the date the email is sent. It is the responsibility of the registrant to confirm receipt of cancellation.
