Augusta – Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Georgia Association of Physicians of Indian Heritage (GAPI) for their generous $3,500 contribution to aid recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. This donation will directly support repairs to Goodwill and Helms College facilities impacted by the storm, ensuring that Goodwill can continue its mission of serving the community.

Several dedicated GAPI physicians spearheaded the impactful gesture:

  • Dr. Varsha Kulkarni, MD – Augusta Lung Associates, LLP, Augusta, GA
  • Dr. Sanjeev Kapuria, MD– Pain Management Physician & Anesthesiologist, Advanced Pain Management, Evans, GA

“This contribution is a testament to the incredible dedication of these healthcare professionals who not only care for their patients but also step forward to uplift their communities during times of need,” said James Stiff, CEO of Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA and Helms College. “The generosity of GAPI ensures that we can repair our facilities, especially our classrooms, to continue our mission of building career pathways out of poverty so individuals in our community can live more fulfilling lives abundantly.”
The funds will help repair essential infrastructure damaged by the hurricane, enabling Goodwill to maintain vital services such as job training, career development, and education programs.

“Together, we can repair, restore, and continue to build lives of individuals and families in our community,” Stiff added. “We are truly grateful to GAPI for standing with us during this critical time.”
