Augusta, GA—Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA will host the 2025 Annual Meeting of Conference of Executives (AMCOE), bringing together Goodwill leaders from around the globe to exchange best practices in workforce development, innovation, and sustainability. The conference will take place March 2 to 5, 2025, at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center.
Goodwill Industries International (GII) is a network of 160 independent, community-based nonprofits in the U.S. and Canada, with a presence in 13 other countries. Local Goodwill organizations fund job training, education, and career advancement programs by selling donated goods in over 3,300 stores and online at shopgoodwill.com®. In 2023, Goodwill helped more than 288,000 people secure jobs and provided training and support to millions through in-person and digital services. Recognized by Forbes as one of the most inspiring companies, Goodwill continues to create opportunities for people facing employment and career advancement barriers.
AMCOE is the premier gathering for Goodwill leaders to share strategies that improve job training and economic opportunity. As the 2025 host, Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA—alongside its dedicated volunteer board—will showcase its globally unique model, offering insights that can be scaled to expand opportunity worldwide.
“Hosting AMCOE is an incredible opportunity to showcase Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA’s nationally recognized model for immersive education and career advancement,” said Jim Stiff, President & CEO of Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA. “Helms College—named after Goodwill’s founder, Reverend Edgar J. Helms—was launched in Macon in 2007 and expanded to Augusta in 2012. Our vision is to scale this innovative, nonprofit college model across the country, while keeping its headquarters in Augusta.”
Goodwill’s social enterprise model ensures that every donation and purchase funds life-changing education and career services. Hosting AMCOE in Augusta helps ensure that the 123-year-old Goodwill movement remains rooted in Edgar Helms’ faith-based vision of providing a ‘hand up, not a handout.’ It also guarantees that the movement continues to evolve with innovative, scalable solutions that empower individuals and strengthen communities.
